Welcome to Word of Peace's children's ministry!  Word of Peace loves and welcomes kids of all ages.  Whether your child is brand new to the Christian faith or if they have attended church since they were infants, our programming insures all kids feel welcome.  This is due to our wonderful education volunteers and our programming. 

When your kids are at Word of Peace we want them to know they are loved, to have fun, and to learn to learn through the Bible stories that God is faithful to us.

About our Programming

Kids spend 20 minutes of their church school hour in large group worship/learning time and then spend the remainder of the time in small groups diving deeper into a weekly Bible lesson.  Large group time is led by education staff members and small groups are taught by volunteer teachers from our congregation.

We believe God's love and forgiveness is a free gift and there is nothing you can do to earn it.  When kids leave here they know that "nothing, absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God!" (paraphrase Romans 8:28). 

 
Faith formation happens everywhere all of the time.  It's our privivlege to live out our baptismal promises to all kids and partner with you in raising your kids in the Christian faith.  Together we can help children KNOW God's Word, GROW in faith, and SHOW service in our local and world community.
 
We offer four church school hours for children ages three years through 5th grade. Registration for the 2010/2011 school year is open.

9:20 AM - 10:35 AM

10:50 AM-12:05 PM

Monday:

5:00-6:00 PM

6:15-7:15 PM

5:30-6:30 Family Dinner served (free will offering)
6:30-7:15 Worship Service
   
Registration

Registration for church school and confirmation for the 2010/2011 year will begins Sunday, May 2. If you are returning to Word of Peace programming, the registration deadline is Thursday, August 5 at 7 pm for families who wish to begin class in September. If you are new to Word of Peace and it is after August 5, please call the educiation office for assistance.  Registration forms can be found outside of the education office window and online HERE beginning May 2.

Sunday, September 12 from 9 am - 11:30 and Monday, September 13 from 6:15-7:30 pm.
