The WELCOMING AND INVITING TEAM (officially Evangelism and Visitation) reaches out to invite and welcome the community and Word of Peace members to worship and all the activities at Word of Peace. 

Some of the ways we try to help you feel welcome and cared for include:

  • Providing tapes of the worship service to those who have to miss worship.
  • Delivering  flyers or brochures to homes in the Rogers area to invite you to special events and worship services.
  • Telephoning visitors
  • Greeting you when you come to worship
  • Delivering cookies and bars to new residents in the community to say we are glad you are here
  • Hosting new member classes and dinner
  • Taking and displaying pictures of new members
  • Supporting new members and those with special concerns through telephone calls
  • Supporting the card ministry to those who are ill, away at college, or in military service
  • Conducting tours of the church building after Sunday worships
  • Working together with the Communications Commission which is devoted to welcoming you to the activities and opportunities at Word of Peace
