Youth Sports: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (and what parents can do to help make it better!)

Sunday, November 18 OR Monday, November 19 at 5 PM (Classes are the same)

Word of Peace member Pam Johnston will lead a 1-hour discussion for parents about the current state of youth and high school sports. Pam has been a youth and college sports coach for the past 30 years and she is passionate about encouraging kids to keep playing sports. She will set the stage by providing some background details, then move into a discussion of the state of youth sports today. Finally, the group will come up with some actionable items of how to give kids a more positive experience in youth sports.

Sundays | 9:45 AM | November 18, December 16, January 20, February 10

Middle School Ministry in the Morning (MSM.AM) is a time for 6th-8th graders to get together for devotions, Bible study, games and treats! MSM.AM is a wonderful opportunity for youth to grow in faith through meaningful discussion and devotion and to build loving and faith-based friendships. September through May

The purpose of Confirmation is threefold: It affirms our baptisms, provides us instruction in the Christian faith, and connects our faith to our daily lives. Confirmation is a 3 1/2-year program for 6th-9th graders. High School youth are encouraged to take part in our Junior Guide program and be mentors to the younger students. Students are confirmed in January of their 9th grade year.
