Carrie On 5K

9th Annual

Carrie On 5K Run/Walk

Saturday, August 11

The 9th Annual Carrie On 5K Memorial Race will be held once again to celebrate the life of Word of Peace member Carrie Ann Lorman, who lost her life in a tragic car accident in December 2009.

In its history, the Carrie On 5K has raised more than $50,000 and all the proceeds were given back to the Rogers Community. Previous recipients included CROSS, the Rogers Police and Fire departments, and families experiencing hardship and loss. Some of the proceeds in 2014/15 were used to purchase cold water rescue suits, one of which was worn in April by Rogers Police Chief, Jeff Beahen, to help keep a trapped tree trimmer from being submerged in an icy pond. This miraculous story is a testament to the fine racers/walkers and corporate sponsors who have supported the race over the years.
