There are many ways to get more involved in the life of our congregation! We heavily rely on our congregation to bring their personal experience, insight, and energy to the variety of activities and ministries that God is up to at Word of Peace. Please prayerfully consider how you can help others encounter Christ through your involvement with one of the following ministry teams.

The Care Team is called to care for the congregation. They welcome new members and support families who are grieving, ill, hurt, or in crisis. They provide leadership in the prayer ministry and prayer services, visitation, and mailing cards of support and celebration to the Word of Peace community. The hope of the Care Team is to make people feel connected to one another and to the mission of the congregation. Their joy is to welcome, connect, and care for people.
The Children, Youth & Family Team strives to help children, youth, and families of all ages and life stages grow in faith while building lasting connections in our community through fellowship and social events, education, service and mission, and fundraising.
This team promotes and sustains the Endowment Fund, a fund established to enhance the ministries of the church beyond the Operations and Ministry Fund. If you have gifts or an interest in long-range planning, financial consultation, and have a big heart for enhancing the mission of this congregation apart from the general operations, you are invited to equip others through your participation with this ministry team.
If you have gifts or an interest in outreach, international travel, diverse cultures, or mission work, you are invited to equip others through your participation with this ministry team.
The goal of the Life & Growth Team is to help cultivate a culture of fellowship and faith. Primary responsibilities include creating opportunities for fun, fellowship and connection for members and friends of the congregation to enjoy together.
If you have gifts or an interest in handiwork, contracting, carpentry, engineering, interior design or physical labor, you are invited to help maintain the interior and exterior areas of the church building through your participation with this ministry team.
If you have gifts or an interest in outreach, volunteerism, social work, listening or community organizing, you are invited to equip others through your participation with this ministry team.
The Stewardship Team works together to help cultivate a culture of generosity and faith. Primary responsibilities include the planning of the annual pledge drive, and educating, encouraging and thanking the congregation for their financial gifts and volunteerism.
If you have gifts or an interest in music, technology & media, visual arts, decoration, interior design or drama, you are invited to equip others through your participation with this ministry team.
