Baptism is a sacrament that marks the beginning of a person's journey of faith. We want to make sure that the service is special and that the individual being baptized in the Christian faith is helped and supported by Word of Peace.
Child Baptisms are typically held during church services on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month during worship, and after the last worship ends on the 3rd Sunday of the month. For more information please contact the church office.
Adult Baptisms are for adults who have never been baptized into the Christian faith. To schedule an adult baptism, please contact one of our pastors at 763-496-2400.
Parents of children that are being baptized and adults who wish to be baptized are required to attend a baptism class prior to their baptism. (If you have already attended a baptism class at Word of Peace or another congregation you do not need to attend again.) The purpose of the baptism class is to explore the meaning of baptism, to go over the baptism service, and to help equip you with faith formation tools.
Baptism Classes are typically held the first Monday of every month at 7:30 PM and can be scheduled when you request a baptism.
